Control Room
Control specialise in organising An Garda Síochána, the National Ambulance Service and Waterford Fire Service to ensure smooth and efficient operation of all emergency services.
What does the Control Room do?
The Control Room answers all public emergency and non-emergency calls. They coordinate all departments to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of all emergency services.
Occasionally, Control Room staff are faced with tough decisions with regards to where to send resources due to a lack of available units. Control also serves as coordinator during major incidents, guiding resources and units to scenes and being a channel for all relevant communications to and from such incidents.
